The Dordogne region provides some of the most beautiful scenery in France. With its deep river valleys, old hilltop castles, old medieval towns and the world famous pre-historic caves and paintings it really is a remakable region.

Le Mas is a well run site and an ideal base to explore this wonderful region. For the children there are good sized pools with slides and there is also a good restaurant bar and take away where you can relax after a hard days' site seeing.

On Site Facilities: Swimming Pool, Water-slides, bar, restaurant, take-away food service, small shop, tennis court, table tennis, children's play areas, washing and drying machines, children's club 4-12 year olds.

Things to Do: Visit the old towns of Sarlat and Les Eyzies, the world famous pre-historique caves and paintings (Font de Gaume), day trips canoeing down the river. The many hilltop castles from te 100 years war.

Recommended Travel: From Caen the journey is around 400 miles taking around 7 hours so the overnight ferry is a good option from Portsmouth-Caen. An alternative is the Transmanche ferry to Le Havre. From Calais the journey is over 600 miles so if choosing this option we would recommend an overnight en-route stop.
